Nuage de rêve

“Let me be your sunshine, let me be your dreamcloud.”
 
These words were written in a letter to a colleague of mine, begging him to understand that his hardships do not have to be fought by just himself, that I would help him, and to let go of his worries into a “dreamcloud”, and let them float by and float away.
 
As such, this piece was not composed to be analyzed, studied, or focused on intently in any way, shape, or form. This music is meant to be enjoyed and loved in the present, and then let go into the air and forgotten like the worries or problems that we encounter each day. It is a piece about hope for the future, acknowledgement of the past, and enjoyment of the present.
 
"Dreamcloud" is a peaceful and dreamlike composition that captures the feeling of drifting through the sky on a cloud. Each part is no better nor worse than another, as all contribute to a round that pieces different motives together. The melody becomes more lively and playful, evoking the sense of joy and freedom that comes with floating on the cloud with no worries. The music gradually subsides, leaving the listener with a sense of peacefulness and serenity.
