This piece was composed during a hospital stay in January 2021, where I felt like my body was "internally sabotaging" me from the inside out.
 
The beginning and ending of the piece has a heavy jazz influence that represents the slithering and stealthy manner of a villainous fight against the body. In between these sections, the use of erratic time signatures, uneven melodies, and jumping harmonies conveys the winding uneasiness and uncertainty of recovery.
